RCC80 Showers and Flowers

I made this card for the Ribbon Carousel Challenge this month - Showers and Flowers.  I recently got the Stamp of the Month kit from Taylored Expressions.  I can never find the right colored cardstock when I'm making a card so I love that they do it for you.  The stamps are from the Make it Memorable stamp set.  I colored the flower with copics and used the matching die to cut it out.  Then I stamped the background in Memento Soft Leaf ink and popped the flower up on top.  I used the matching ribbon that came with the kit (also something I never seem to have).  I like the way this came out and am planning on making several more in the same design.  It's always nice when you have a simple design.  I think I had the lights too bright for this pic so I'm sorry for the background image being a little faded.  It's light to begin with.  Thanks for looking.

Supplies Used:  Heavenly White Premium Ultrasmooth, Taylored Expressions Stella Cardstock, My Mind's Eye Collectable: Memorable, Taylored Expressions Ribbon, Taylored Expressions Make it Memorable Stamps, Copic Markers, Memento Soft Leaf.

First Communion

My Goddaughter (also my niece) is having her First Communion this month.  I asked Mo Manning if she was planning on creating a girl First Communion digi and what do you know?  She was.  One of the reasons I love digi stamps is that you can get them so fast.  I colored this girl with Copics and chose some sparkly star paper from my stash.  I am still fooling with my Photoshop Elements (no matter how many tutorials I try I still mess it up lol). I wanted a white background but that wasn't going to happen.  I've gotten behind in my cardmaking but I am hoping to get back on schedule and have more cards soon.  Thanks for looking.

Daffodils

I always love the time of the year when the daffodils and tulips start coming out. You know Spring is just around the corner.  LOTV recently had a new release and being the crazy stamp collecting fool that I am I had to buy the whole release.  Seriously..I need help.  I just couldn't make up my mind lol.  I have to say though that this is my favorite stamp from the release.  The bunnies are so adorable.  For my card I colored the bunny and flowers with Copics.  I added some glossy accents to the vase to give the look of water.  I think this is a stamp I will use a lot. I am still working on my photography. I got Photoshop Elements and followed a tutorial but my light is always off.  I will keep working on it though.

Supplies:  Lili of the Valley - Flower Arranging, A Muse Artstamps Thank You for Everything, Verve Stamps - Pennant Trim Die, Heavenly White Ultrasmooth paper, Athentique Seasons: Summer

KK Love is in the Air

The challenge this week over at Kraftin' Kimmie is "Love is in the Air".  I'll be honest here..I don't do Valentine's Day.  I don't send cards to anyone and don't celebrate it.  Yep that's me..alone and bitter lol.  Actually I am quite happy with just me and my animals.  Anyway, I decided to use Tara for this card.  The part you don't see is the inside which says "that I love you".  This is going along with the rest of my thank you cards because I figure it can be used as a thank you for someone the person loves right? I stamped her on Heavenly White Premium Ultrasmooth paper and colored her with Copics.  I used paper from Authentique for the background.  Thanks for looking.

MFTWSC110 - Violin Girl

For the sketch at My Favorite Things this week I used Pure Innocence Violin Girl.  I love this sketch.  I flipped it to better fit the image.  I used Teresa Collins Vintage Finds paper and colored this sweet girl with Copics.  For a change, I decided to try to use my photo box since my photos have been a little dark lately.  The hard part is keeping the cat out of it, but I know I need to work on my pictures so this is a start.  I have to say the Fishtail Flag Die-namics is my most used die.  Thanks for looking.

KK Challenge 164 - Texture

I thought since there was a power outage during the Super Bowl I'd upload a few cards.  I made this one for the challenge this week at Kraftin' Kimmie - Texture.  I recently bought some mesh ribbon and had an idea to use the ribbon as a net below Arielle.  Nothing ever comes out the way you see it in your head though does it lol.  I used some plain cardstock and colored Arielle with Copics, adding some stickles to her hair and bodysuit for a little sparkle.  You gotta sparkle in the circus.  Here is my card:

Thanks for looking and here's to hoping the 49ers get moving soon :)

MFT Challenge Late

Don't you hate it when the days just get away from you and you miss a challenge deadline?  It's only Tuesday and it feels like it's been a long week already.  Since I made a card for this challenge I thought I'd at least post it.  The weekly sketch challenge can be seen here at My Favorite Things.  I used Pure Innocence Have Hope.  This is one of my favorite stamps.  I colored her with Copics.  The paper is from Lovely by Authentique.  I backed her with some shiny silver paper to match her dress. Hopefully I can get next week's sketch in on time lol.
