Happy Spring

I realize it's been Spring for awhile but technically, it started this month so I'm gonna celebrate it now :)  I am so excited for all the new stamps I just got but some that I've had for a little while needed to get inky too so I made a card with this cute bunny.  This little guy is called "Spring Bunny with Daffodils" by Lili of the Valley.  I just love their bunnies!

Supplies Used:  Spring Bunny with Daffodils by LOTV, Thanks so much by Verve Stamps, My Minds Eye 6x6 Fiddlesticks, MFT Die-namics First Place Award, Memory Box A2 card

MFT Sketch - Have Hope

My card for today was made using sketch MFTWSC62 from My Favorite Things.  At first I wasn't sure how this would look since I had to make the panels small for my A2 card, but the stamp was perfect for this size.  I used Pure Innocence Have Hope from MFT and stamped her on 2 of the panels.  I decided to do the sentiment in the middle one.  The sentiment is by Verve my papers are My Minds Eye Fiddlesticks.  I used a die from Memorybox to cut out a button in matching paper.  I tried to tie a cute bow on it with twine, but it didn't go too well so I gave up :)  Here is my card.  Thanks for looking.  Sorry about the angle.

Supplies Used:  Pure Innocence - Have Hope from My Favorite Things, Celebration of Thanks sentiment from Verve stamps, My Minds Eye-Miss Carolone Fiddlesticks paper, A2 card Dove Grey from Memorybox, Copics, Buttons die from Memorybox

Case a Krafty Girl

The challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie this week is to case a Krafty Girl.  After going through all the blogs of the Krafty Girls I decided to case Alice Wertz.  There were so many gorgeous cards that all the Krafty Girls make but Alice has been doing something that has caught my eye lately.  Several of her cards are done on Kraft paper and she has been using a background stamp.  I really like the way these have come out so I picked one of those to case..specifically the one she did for challenge #115 here.  Here is my version of it:
I started with a Kraft card and stamped the background using Versamark and a flourishes cover a card stamp by Impression Obsession.  I then decided to use paper from Konnichiwa by BasicGrey.  I added a top and bottom border of Cherry Blossom pink paper by Memory Box and stitched them to the patterned paper.  Felicity was colored using Copics and I added a little Clear Spica on her wings.  Alice's card used a technique which I tried but failed at so I cheated a little.  She had used the technique where you cut around the stamp a little and then use the Nestability die so that your image is partly inside and partly outside the shape.  I cut too much around her hair and the shape didn't come out right so I just cut her out and put her on a white and pink frame.  I didn't add the pearls or flowers since this is another card I'm giving away so I want it to be able to be sent in a regular envelope and not cost more.  I like the way this came out and really hope I did Alice's card justice.

Coffee Break

I fell in love with Lili of the Valley stamps awhile ago but haven't made too much with them yet.  I used the Coffee Break stamp on this card and colored these sweet girls to match the new Viola papers from Memory Box.  For this card I used the Sweet and Sassy Stamps Sketch 148.  I rotated the sketch.  The flower embellishments were made using the Upsy-Daisy set by My Favorite Things.  The Thanks So Much sentiment was from a collection of thank you stamps from Verve Stamps.  The girls were stamped on Heavenly White paper and colored with Copics.  Thanks for looking.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
