Don't you hate it when the days just get away from you and you miss a challenge deadline? It's only Tuesday and it feels like it's been a long week already. Since I made a card for this challenge I thought I'd at least post it. The weekly sketch challenge can be seen here at My Favorite Things. I used Pure Innocence Have Hope. This is one of my favorite stamps. I colored her with Copics. The paper is from Lovely by Authentique. I backed her with some shiny silver paper to match her dress. Hopefully I can get next week's sketch in on time lol.
My first New Year's resolution was to make more cards. My second is going to be to use more ribbon. I decided to enter the challenge at the Ribbon Carousel - Winter Spirit. I do love cards with ribbon, but I am seriously bow tying impaired so I don't use it much. I have tried so many different "helpers" but still can't do it lol. I tried several times on this card before giving up and just tying a nice little knot. Hey, still looks okay right? So, since the theme was Winter Spirit, I used my Pure Innocence Warm Wishes stamp for this card. I colored her with Copics and used a piece of ribbon from my huge stash (much like stamps, I collect a lot of ribbon lol). The patterned paper is from Echo Park Winter Wishes pad.
I was so excited when I got my latest KK order today that I used one of my new stamps right away. Don't you just love when you get new stamps in the mail? I swear I need a support group for this addiction. Anyway, the challenge is to use an animal and I just happened to order the new Best Fur-iends set by Cheryl Alger. Usually my mom uses these sets but I just had to have this one for myself. I used the boy from the set since I don't have many boy thank you cards. I saw a card by Kerry which had a design I loved so I decided to use it for this card. I colored this boy using Copics. The dog I tried to make look like my sister's new yellow lab. Since I usually stamp at night I tend to take most of my pictures at night so I apologize for shadows. I will work on my photography and hopefully take more pictures during the day.
Stamps: Kraftin' Kimmie Best Fur-iends, Verve Thankful Hearts

I work as a programmer but love to stamp as much as possible. My mother and I started a company that makes support cards for women with breast cancer. We wanted to make cards that would help family and friends provide support when they didn't really know what to say. The majority of the cards I make get donated to women diagnosed with breast cancer. The loves of my life are my dog and 2 cats (plus the stray I feed).
